2018 Hoffman Lecture: "Disruption in the Healthcare Industry"

The Hoffman Lecture Series is an annual event in which industry experts talk about innovative business policies and practices.

This years lecture will feature speaker Chris Durovich '79, President and CEO of Children’s Health in Dallas, TX

Chris is the Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas, and has more than 30 years of leadership experience in adult and pediatric health care and physician practice management. Chris' lecture will focus primarily on the effects of disruption on the health care business.

Since becoming President and Chief Executive Officer in 2003, he has guided Children's Health to be the eighth-largest pediatric health care system in the nation, serving more than 280,000 children each year.

We are delighted to welcome Chris back to UVM as this year’s Hoffman Family Business Lecture Speaker,” said Grossman School of Business Dean Sanjay Sharma.  “Chris’s experience and expertise in both healthcare and strategic management, will motivate and enlighten our students.”

Aside from his speech, his visit includes a working breakfast with a select group of students, Grossman faculty, as well as a meeting with UVM and Medical Center leadership.

The Hoffman Family Business Lecture Speaker event will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at the Ira Allen Chapel beginning 12 noon, is free and open to all.
